FREDERICK, Md. - Shenandoah University swept its second straight non-conference volleyball tri-match with 3-0 victories over Hood and Chestnut Hill colleges Saturday afternoon at Hood.
After opening with a 30-25, 30-18, 30-26 sweep of the host Blazers, Shenandoah (12-7) thumped Chestnut Hill 30-6, 30-18, 30-19.
The two victories run the Hornets winning streak to a season best six matches. This is also the longest winning streak in coach Sarah Pelster's three-plus seasons at the helm of the program.
JuniorÂ
Jennifer Thompson had 11 kills, 13 assists and 13 digs in the Hood match to record her ninth triple-double of the season. She just missed a tenth when she posted nine kills, nine assists and six digs against Chestnut Hill.
SophomoreÂ
Jennie Haywood led the defense in both matches with 14 and 16 digs, respectively.
