FERRUM, Va. - Ferrum College had two players register at least 15 kills in winning a 3-1 USA South Conference volleyball decision over visiting Shenandoah University Friday night.

Ferrum (8-6, 2-2 USA South) got 28 kills from Mindy Altice and 15 from Jessica Flanagan to down the Hornets (5-5, 1-3) 30-24, 24-30, 30-24, 30-19.

The Lady Panthers hit .218 for the match as Tiffany Walker hit .667 and Altice hit .451 despite taking 12 and 51 total attacks, respectively.

Freshman Chevon Parker led Shenandoah with 11 kills while juniors Michelle Chandler and Jennifer Thompson added nine and seven. 

Freshman Tina Conner led the defense with 12 digs.

SU will stay at Ferrum Saturday and take on both Methodist and Peace colleges in a pair of USA South Conference matches.
