WINCHESTER, Va. - The Greensboro College Lady Pride used three unanswered goals to rally past host Shenandoah and earn a 4-2 USA South Conference women's soccer victory Saturday afternoon.
Greensboro (1-6-1, 1-1 USA South) got the game-winner in the 70th minute when Ashton Oliver found the back of the net for the second time on the afternoon. Oliver's tally, off a Jackie Cianfrani assist, completed the Lady Pride's comeback victory.
After Oliver had opened the game's scoring at the 12:03 mark, Shenandoah (1-6, 0-2) quickly answered with aÂ
Renee Summerson tally just 48 seconds later. Summerson scored as she took aÂ
Karissa Castillofree kick and tapped the ball just inside the near post.
Barely six minutes into the second half, Summerson gave the Hornets a 2-1 lead when she converted aÂ
Jen Stoup header into the box.
Unfortunately for the home fans, Ashley Cabral tied it just over two minutes later when she knocked home Oliver's through pass.
Cabral capped the day's scoring with an insurance goal in the 85th minute.
SU keeperÂ
Megan Clark had 11 saves in the losing effort while GC keeper Kristen McGuire made three saves.Â
