WINCHESTER, Va. - Bridgewater College made a goal off the second half start to defeat homestanding Shenandoah 1-0 in non-conference field hockey action Wednesday afternoon.
Ashley Norris converted a feed from Erin Spadaro 23 seconds into the second half to give Bridgewater (3-7) the win over SU (2-4). The win is also the Eagles second straight victory.
Bridgewater combined that one goal with a strong defense end the Hornets bid for their first-ever victory over BC. The Eagles took six more shots after scoring their goal, and did not allow Shenandoah a shot in that same time span.
Bridgewater outshot SU 19-4 for the game and held a 21-4 advantage in penalty corners.
