STAUNTON, Va. - Shenandoah University won its second volleyball match in as many outings this season Tuesday night as the Hornets downed host Mary Baldwin 3-1.

SU (2-0) kept the Squirrels (0-5) winless on the 2006 season with the 30-28, 18-30, 30-28, 30-23 victory. 

Junior Jennifer Thompson led the Hornets with a match-high 13 kills and 19 assists while classmate Michelle Chandler added 12 kills and 17 assists.

Freshman Tina Conner led the defensive effort with a season high 27 digs.
