WINCHESTER, Va. - Eastern Mennonite University scored a pair of goals in each half Wednesday afternoon to propel itself to a 4-0 non-conference men's soccer victory over host Shenandoah.

EMU (2-1) scored in the 13th and 39th minutes of the first to take the commanding lead against the Hornets (0-3). The Royals then tallied in the 64th and 80th minutes to seal their second consecutive win.

Sophomore keeper Brian Garretson continued his outstanding play with six saves for the hosts, but 16 shots and nine corners from Mennonite proved too much to overcome.

Jared Byler scored that opening goal off of an Andrew Moore cross while Trevor Weaver added the insurance goal at the 38:44 mark. Weaver took a long through ball from Benjamin Yoder and beat the on-rushing Garretson to the ball just inside the 18-yard box.

SU took nine shots on the day, three each from Fabian Rowe and Will Weber.
