RALEIGH, N.C. - Shenandoah University earned its first USA South Conference volleyball victory of the 2007 season Saturday afternoon when it downed host Peace, 3-1, in the first meeting of a tri-match with the Pacers and N.C. Wesleyan.
Shenandoah (8-16, 1-11 USA South) downed PC 30-24, 30-21, 28-30, 30-26 before the Lady Bishops swept SU 30-23, 30-10, 30-11 in the day's final contest.
Peace falls to 10-18, 3-9 after the day's play while NCWC is 17-10, 8-4.

Jennifer Thompson led the Hornets to the victory with a co-game-high 16 kills while also posting 14 digs. Shenandoah totaled 75 digs in the four-game match, withÂ

Michelle Chandler just missed a triple-double - she had nine kills, 24 assists and 14 digs.
