FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Shenandoah University freshman
Krista Pattisonhas been named USA South Conference women's soccer Rookie of the Week in selections announced Monday by the conference office.
Pattison, the Hornets second leading scorer, scored four goals Saturday afternoon to key Shenandoah's 9-1 win over league opponent Averett University.
The win clinches the fourth straight USA South Conference Tournament berth for the team - with wins over Mary Baldwin and Ferrum in the final two league games, SU could rise as high as the sixth-seed in the eight-team tournament.
This is the first conference honor this season for Pattison.
Shenandoah is back in action on Wednesday at Mary Baldwin.
