NORFOLK, Va. - Host Virginia Wesleyan ended Shenandoah University's field hockey season with a 3-1 non-league victory Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Jocelyn Whitt scored the goal for the Hornets (1-10) off of a Lindsay Collison assist in the 45th minute.

VWC (4-12) led 2-0 at the time of Whitt's goal - they scored the initial tally of the contest in the 17th minute and got the game-winner two minutes later.

The Marlins outshot Shenandoah 11-7 and each team had four penalty corners.
