NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - No. 8 in the South Region Christopher Newport University kept its perfect USA South Conference volleyball record intact Wednesday night with a 3-0 sweep over visiting Shenandoah.

CNU (27-6, 16-0) blitzed the Hornets 30-14, 30-9, 30-8 in winning for the 24th time in the past 25 matches.

The Captains had 42 kills to Shenandoah's 10, with five different women registering at least five kills.

Sophomore Chevon Parker led SU wth four kills, while junior Jennie Haywood had 13 digs.
