WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's soccer team clinched the No. 5 seed at next week's USA South Conference Tournament with a 2-0 victory over Averett University.

Shenandoah (6-14, 2-4 USA South) wins for the third straight time with the victory over AU (4-10, 0-6). The Hornets will travel fourth-seeded Greensboro, for a Tuesday quarterfinal round game beginning at 2:30.

Sophomore Chris Wondree had what proved to be the game-winning goal when he scored off of a Mohamed Toure assist in the 11th minute.

Toure set up the insurance goal as well - he found sophomore Karim Kamara with just under 15 minutes to play.

Keeper Brian Garretson made three saves in posting his fourth shutout of the season.

SU outshot the Cougars 22-5 and had five of the game's six corner kicks.
