WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Roanoke College kept Shenandoah University winless on the 2007 field hockey season with a 3-0 non-league victory Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Maroons (3-7) scored in the 13th minute to take a lead they would not relinquish over SU (0-9).

Elizabeth Hudson scored that game-winner at 12:20 before Jessica Perkins and Mariah Vierti added goals at 43:22 and 48:26 to secure the victory.

RC outshot the Hornets 9-2, including taking all four shots in the second half. They also had a 7-5 advantage in penalty corners.

Shenandoah keeper Chelsea Smith made three saves.
