WINCHESTER, Va. - Sophomore Adam Aldinger registered his first career hat trick Saturday afternoon to key a 3-1 non-league men's soccer victory for host Shenandoah over Frostburg State.

Aldinger gave the Hornets (2-6) goals in the 21st, 30th and 50th minutes to provide the winning margin over Frostburg (3-3).

The Bobcats attempted to get back into the game by answering Aldinger's second goal with one of their own at 31:21, but the SU defense stiffened before Aldinger closed out the afternoon's scoring just over four minutes into the second half.

FSU outshot Shenandoah 16-9, including 8-3 in the second half. They also had all three of the game's corner kicks.

The Hornets were forced to play a man-down for the final 35 minutes after freshman Micah Miller picked up two consecutive yellow cards. FSU did most of its offensive damage during this period, but Shenandoah keeper Brian Garretson made three of his game-high five saves.
