WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University earned the first win of the Liz Pike era with a 4-0 non-league shutout of visiting Hollins Saturday afternoon.
FreshmanÂ
Kaitlin Naill scored all four goals for the Hornets (1-4). Shenandoah controlled the game throughout - SU held a 22-5 shots advantage and did not allow Hollins (2-4) a shot until after the halftime break.
Naill scored in the 31st, 33rd, 63rd and 75th minutes to record a third-best four goals in a game for the Hornets. Her performance ties Jen Johnson '93 for the No. 3 spot - Johnson had four goals against Randolph-Macon in 1991 and equaled it against Hollins in 1992.
Freshman keeperÂ
Samantha LoPreto made two saves to post her first career shutout.
Box Score
The Hornets return to the pitch again Wednesday against Christopher Newport.
