STAUNTON, Va. - Host Mary Baldwin used a strong hitting performance Wednesday night to sweep Shenandoah, 3-0, in USA South Conference volleyball action.

The Squirrels (3-10, 1-3 USA South) had 46 kills on the evening to earn the 30-20, 30-28, 30-24 win. The victory is also the first-ever for Mary Baldwin in conference play. Shenandoah (6-6, 0-4) was hoping to extend its winning streak over MBC to eight matches.

Senior Michelle Chandler had nine kills for the Hornets, with Jennifer Thompson adding seven and Chevon Parker five. Thompson had a team-high 13 assists with Chandler adding 10. Both women also had 10 digs.
