No. 2 Pride Shuts Down Soccer

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Second in the nation Greensboro College broke open a close game with a big second half Saturday afternoon on its way to a 6-0 USA South men's soccer victory over visiting Shenandoah.

Leading 2-0 at the half, GC (8-1, 2-1 USA South) scored four times following the break to dispatch the Hornets (2-8, 0-1).

The Pride dominated the game by taking 26 of the game's 31 shots, and holding SU to just two shots on goal.

Greensboro had three players register multiple points, with Ben Norman scoring a game-high two goals.

Shenandoah keeper Brian Garretson made 10 saves in the losing effort for the Hornets.
