WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Eastern Mennonite University snapped
Shenandoah University's four-match women's soccer unbeaten streak
with a 2-1 non-league win Wednesday night on Sprint Field at
Shentel Stadium.
All of the goals came in the first half - EMU (4-5) took the
insurmountable lead with Ally Brown and Jess Myers goals at 13:33
and 17:08, respectively.
Shenandoah (4-5-2) answered with a Nicole
Gilbertson goal at 29:42 to cut the deficit in half, but
could not get the equalizer.
The Hornets had two shots on goal and all three corners
following the break; EMU held a 10-9 advantage in shots for the
game.

Shenandoah returns to conference play on Saturday with a 4:00
game at Meredith. This is the first of two road games this weekend
as the squad finishes the swing at Peace on Sunday.
