FRONT ROYAL, Va. - Shenandoah University got itself back on the
volleyball winning track with a pair of non-league victories over
Christendom College Monday evening.
Shenandoah (10-9) took the non-league matches by identical 3-0
scores, winning the opening match at 13, 8 and 21 and the nightcap
20, 12, 16.
Freshman Haley Smith
and junior Rachel Maki paced
the Hornets in opening match with 10 kills apiece with freshman Katy
Griffith adding seven.
Sophomore Kelcy Brown set up
that production by dishing out 38 assists.
In the nightcap, Smith had a match-high 13 kills, Megan Gillispie
11 and Maki 10 to help finish off the sweep.
Brown completed her night with 34 assists.
SU returns to the court on Wednesday with a non-league match
against Washington Adventist.
