WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University lost its second
straight hard-fought women's lacrosse match with a 16-15
overtime defeat to Frostburg State Wednesday evening.

session to give FSU (6-4) the victory over Shenandoah (6-5).
The Bobcats, who trailed 15-14 after the first three-minute
extra session, cleared the ball down to Zimmel, who dodged two
defenders before defeating Hornets keeper Tori Beasley.
FSU then won the ensuing draw and was able to run out the clock
to hold on for the win.

by scoring the five of the final six goals of regulation.
Junior Sara
Mucciaro figured in three of the goals, including an unassisted
tally with 58 seconds remaining that tied the game at 13-13.
SU appeared to get the game-winner 37 seconds later, but Ashley
Heroth's point blank shot went off the crossbar and
Frostburg State was able to clear.
The Bobcats needed just 13 seconds to score the initial goal of
overtime before Kierra Nicholson
and Heroth tallied at 2:13 and 1:27, respectively, to give the
hosts a 15-14 lead. Mucciaro assisted on both goals.
Frostburg knotted the game for the last time on an unassisted
goal by Megan Dent-Carman at 1:54 of the second half of overtime.
