FERRUM, Va. - Shenandoah University earned its third straight USA South Conference women's lacrosse victory with a 14-6 win at Ferrum Friday afternoon.
Shenandoah (3-2, 3-0 USA South) converted on its first five shots and never looked back against Ferrum (4-2-1, 1-1).
Sophomore Sydney Anderson had the opening goal of the game for the Hornets, scoring at 28:19 on a feed from senior Ashley Heroth, and eventually scored five of the game's first six goals.
The lead ballooned to 13-3 by halftime; freshman Samantha Sisson had three of those goals for SU.
Freshman Liz Grover had Shenandoah's final goal of the game when she tallied on a free position shot with 10:36 remaining.
Sisson had a team-high three goals while Anderson had a goal and two assists to share high-point honors with Sisson.
SU outshot the Panthers 24-22 and scooped up 17 of the game's 31 groundballs.
Freshman Ashley Cross had eight saves for the victors.
Shenandoah is back in action on Monday at Hood College.
