WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Randolph-Macon College turned in a strong defensive effort Wednesday afternoon in a 7-3 non-league men's lacrosse victory over future ODAC foe Shenandoah.
The Yellow Jackets (4-1) held Shenandoah without a goal for the opening 36:28 of play on their way to the four-goal victory.
R-MC only led 4-0 when junior P.J. Cooper snapped the Hornets scoreless string with a goal off of a Mac Hedrick assist at 8:32 of the third, but SU could not make any additional headway.
Macon answered with a Taylor Wicke tally 34 seconds before the end of the third, and eventually scored three of the game's final five goals to clinch the victory.
