Lynchburg Tops Men's Soccer

LYNCHBURG, Va. - Host Lynchburg College kept Shenandoah University winless in ODAC men's soccer play with a 3-0 victory Saturday night.

The LC Hornets (2-5-1, 1-0-1 ODAC) got all of the offense they would need as the SU Hornets (2-7, 0-3) had an own goal in the 12th minute.

David Steele added an insurance goal for the hosts in the 38th minute before Luke Moore closed the book on the evening's scoring with his goal off of a Frankie Winski service with 2:42 to play.

Lynchburg controlled possession, outshooting Shenandoah 27-10 and winning eight of the 13 corner kicks awarded.

James Dutcher made eight saves for SU.

Shenandoah hosts Cairn on Wednesday at 4:30 in a non-league contest.
