SALISBURY, Md. - Regionally ranked Salisbury University scored a pair of first half goals on its way to a 3-0 non-league women's soccer victory over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
The Gulls (3-1) scored in the 11th and 37th minutes to take a commanding lead over SU (1-3).
Alex Gower had what proved to be the game-winning goal by knocking home a rebound of a Salisbury corner kick.
The hosts closed the book on the scoring with a Jenna DeLetto tally in the 63rd minute.
The Gulls had a 24-9 advantage in shots and took 10 of 14 corners.
Hornets keepers Nichole Pratt and Kristen Barrickman combined for four saves.
Shenandoah hosts Hood on Sunday at 5 in another non-league contest.
