VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Host Virginia Wesleyan rallied for a 3-1 ODAC volleyball victory over Virginia Wesleyan Saturday afternoon at the Batten Center.
Shenandoah (13-10, 3-5 ODAC) was a 35-33 victor in the opening set only to see VWC (20-7, 8-1) rally for wins at 20, 14 and 16 in sets two through four.
Junior Allie Pieper and sophomore Rachel Roberts paced SU with nine kills each while freshman Elizabeth Lamont added seven to go along with 20 digs.
Lamont's classmate, Brandi Griffith, matched her digs total.
Senior Rachel Gross was also solid defensively, posting 11 digs.
Jasmine Callahan and Rachel Cerretani combined for 31 assists with Callahan posting 16.
SU returns home on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. non-league match against Hood.
