ASHLAND, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team kept its ODAC record perfect on the season with a 2-0 victory at Randolph-Macon Wednesday afternoon.
The Hornets (3-5-1, 3-0 ODAC) sandwiched a pair of goals around the halftime break to down R-MC (4-2-1, 1-1).
Junior Danielle Burris scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 42nd minute off of a Kati Richardson assist before Richardson tallied just 25 seconds into the second half.
That goal, Richardson's second of the season, came off of an Elizabeth Bellido assist.
SU goalkeepers Erin Septer and Nicole Pratt had to made just one save each to combine for the shutout.
Septer played the initial 78:38 of the contest before turning it over to Pratt for the final 11:22.
Shenandoah outshot the 'Jackets 15-8 for the game and took six of the nine corners awarded.
Now through three conference contests, the Hornets have outscored opponents 16-1.
SU continues this road trip with a Saturday game at Virginia Wesleyan. Game time is 1 p.m.
