Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Bullets Shut Out Women

WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Gettysburg College scored a goal in each half to key a 2-0 non-conference women's soccer victory over Shenandoah Wednesday night.

The Bullets (2-1), whose only loss is a 1-0 decision to No. 1 William Smith (N.Y.), scored in the 33rd and 52nd minutes to top the Hornets (0-2).

Molly Phillips scored what proved to be the game-winner by redirecting a Meg Castranova corner kick.

SU keeper Erin Septer faced 19 shots on the night but was again solid with 10 saves.

The Bullets also took six of the game's seven corners.

The Shenandoah women return to action this weekend with a pair of games at the Mary Washington Tournament. Coach Liz Pike's side plays both Rowan (N.J.) and the Coast Guard Academy in the classic format tournament.
