WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University field hockey team earned its sixth straight win with a 4-0 non-conference victory over Wesley College Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Kayla Alderman scored just 6:39 in to give SU (7-4) all of the offense it would need against Wesley (3-10).
In the second half, Sarah Brock, Elizabeth Pardo and Whitney Ross all scored as the Hornets pulled away.
Brock tallied at 47:51, Pardo at 52:04 and Ross at 59:06 to provide the winning margin against the Wolverines.
The Hornets outshot Wesley 26-10, including 16-2 in the first half, and took 10 of the game's 15 penalty corners.
SU keeper Jessica Brown had seven saves, five in the second half, to earn her second straight shutout.
Shenandoah continues this road trip on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. non-league game at Frostburg State.
