LEXINGTON, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's soccer team saw its three-match unbeaten streak end Wednesday afternoon with a 6-0 ODAC loss at Washington and Lee.
The league-leading Generals (9-3-2, 7-0-1 ODAC) took a 2-0 lead into the break before pulling away from SU (5-7-2, 2-4-2) in the final 45 minutes of play.
Reeves Duggan scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 28th minute off a David Cohen assist.
W&L added goals in the 32nd, 54th, 55th, 62nd and 70th minutes to provide the final margin of victory.
The Generals outshot Shenandoah 41-4 and took all 18 of the game's corners.
Hornets goalkeepers Keegan Fairchild and Mike Shirkanich had a combined five saves. Fairchild had two stops in 71:58 of action and Skirkanich made three stops in the final 18:02.
Shenandoah returns home on Saturday with a 4 p.m. ODAC contest against Lynchburg.
