HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – Host Hampden-Sydney scored a goal in each half to down Shenandoah University 2-0 in ODAC men's soccer action Saturday evening.
H-SC (5-1, 1-0 ODAC) scored in the 31st and 58th minutes to down Shenandoah (3-3, 0-1).
Liam Hogan tallied what proved to be the game-winner Robert Kirby beat his defender and fed Hogan for the initial tally.
Hunter Weiland had the insurance tally at 57:37 as he bounced a cross of Hornets keeper Matthew Poell.
Poell had four saves in the losing effort.
The Tigers outshot SU 12-9 and took three of the game's five corner kicks.
Shenandoah steps out of conference on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game at Goucher.
