GLASSBORO, N.J. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team completed its play at the 2015 Profs Soccer Classic Saturday evening with a 2-1 double overtime loss to host Rowan.
The Profs (2-0) scored on a penalty kick with 10:28 to play in regulation to knot the game at 1-1 and then got the game-winner 8:55 into the second golden goal overtime session.
Darah Wagner had a breakaway and lifted her shot over Hornets keeper Erin Septer for the game-winner.
Shenandoah (0-3) had scored the game's initial goal on an own goal in the 33rd minute.
Rebecca Collimore crossed the ball into the middle of the box, where it was deflected in by a Rowan defender.
"It was a tough loss for us," SU coach Liz Pike said. "It was an unlucky (PK) call to go against us and then they scored in nearly the final minute of OT.
"We played well tonight."
Septer had three saves in the losing effort.
The two temas split 18 shots while RU had five of the game's seven corners.
Shenandoah hosts Dickinson Wednesday night at 7 in a non-league game.
