WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's volleyball team won its second straight ODAC match Friday evening with a 3-0 victory over Randolph College.

The Hornets (11-12, 3-5 ODAC) claimed the sweep over Randolph (3-17, 1-7) with scores of 26-24, 25-18, and 25-11.

The opening set was neck and neck, requiring extra points to determine a winner. Shenandoah found itself down 22-19 with the WildCats holding serve. The Hornets forced a side out and then scored two more points to tie it at 22-22.

The two teams traded single points on two consecutive rotations before a Caylin Harris kill followed by a Harris block won the set for the hosts.

SU jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the second. The 'Cats went on a run of their own and were leading as late as 16-15, but Shenandoah collected 10 of the final 12 points to put itself one set from victory.

Randolph led the third, 8-6, before another Hornets streak, this one 12 straight points, with Harris at the service line.

Harris led the victors offense with 10 kills while Elizabeth Lamont, Torie Gettier, and Kaitlyn Kelley each added seven.

Rachel Cerretani, with 35 assists, quarterbacked the offense.

Harris dominated all around for the Hornets as she also led the victors with 12 digs.

Coach Jaime Terenzi and her club welcome Roanoke College Wednesday evening for a 7 p.m. ODAC matchup.
