HARRISONBURG, Va. - Host Eastern Mennonite University scored the final three goals of the game to down Shenandoah University 4-1 in ODAC men's soccer action Wednesday afternoon.
The Royals (8-7-4, 3-3-2 ODAC) officially qualified for the ODAC Tournament with the win over Shenandoah (0-16, 0-8).
EMU took the early lead, scoring on a Daniel Obour goal in the 8th minute, only to see SU bring the game back to level in the 43rd minute as Sam Natkin headed home a Tylor Strozeski corner kick.
Natkin, parked on the far post, scored the equalizer at 42:18. The tally is the second of the season for the Stafford native.
The second half shots were relatively even (12-7 in favor of the Royals), but the hosts made the most of those opportunities to score in the 56th, 71st and 81st minutes.
Obour had the game-winner at 55:11.
Cory Thompson had six saves for the Hornets in his first start of the season.
EMU outshot its visitors 26-9 and had a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Shenandoah completes its season on Saturday with an ODAC contest at Virginia Wesleyan.
