WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Lynchburg College kept its successful softball season on track Wednesday by sweeping an ODAC doubleheader from Shenandoah.
Lynchburg (20-12, 9-3 ODAC) was a 10-1 winner in the opener before completing the sweep with a 9-2 victory in the nightcap over SU (8-22, 2-10).
Sophomore Megan Wilk accounted for two of Shenandoah's six hits in game one - she had a solo home run in the second and a single through the right side in the fourth.
Kimberly Brady was 2 for 3 in the game with singles in the third and fifth.
LC scored four runs in the first, one in the third, four in the fourth and one in the fifth to halt the game after five innings.
Junior Lindsay Corbin (3-11) went the distance in the circle was victimized by eight SU errors. Only four of the runs Corbin allowed were earned. 
Lynchburg had a four-run first inning in the nightcap as well before adding three more in the third and single runs in the fifth and sixth.
Shenandoah did all of its damage in the first inning, scoring two runs on four hits. Karli Rorabaugh and Haley Koeninger both had RBI singles in the frame.
Brady had another multiple hit contest, going 3 for 4 with a run scored, while Wilk had two hits.
Carrie Robinson (5-11) suffered the same fate as Corbin - six of the nine runs she allowed were unearned.
Shenandoah continues this homestand on Saturday with a 1 p.m. ODAC doubleheader versus Roanoke. It is Senior Day and Brady will be honored prior to the start of the doubleheader.
