LEXINGTON, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team completed its 2016 season Saturday afternoon with a 5-0 loss to No. 15 Washington and Lee in the ODAC Tournament quarterfinals.

The Generals (16-5) dropped just one game in doubles as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead over SU (9-7).

Now needing just two wins to clinch the victory, W&L got them with wins at love in both the Nos. 2 and 4 singles matches.

With the result assured, singles matches at Nos. 1, 3, 5 and 6 were abandoned.

Seniors Molly Barb and Caitlin Tilton, playing at No. 1 doubles, had the closest match. They fell 8-1 to Brooke Donnelly and Tessa Hill.

Shenandoah will announce its 2016-17 schedule this summer.
