WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University softball team doubled its ODAC win total Sunday by sweeping a doubleheader from Sweet Briar.
Shenandoah (9-17, 4-8 ODAC) was a 26-0 victor over the Vixens (0-18, 0-10) in the opener before taking the nightcap 20-2.
Both games were halted after five innings due to the NCAA mercy rule.
In game one, freshman Elizabeth Everette (3-3) came one out from throwing a no-hitter. Everette allowed just a two-out infield single to Rachel Rogers in the fifth in earning her third victory of the spring.
She struck out five and walked one.

Carrie Robinson drove in five with Weadon, Corbin, Makaela Dawkins and Ashlyn Drake adding three RBI apiece.
A 15-run first made game two a rout early and sophomore Kayla O'Connell went the distance in squaring her record at 1-1 this season. She allowed the two runs on four hits and five walks while striking out eight.
The Hornets had 16 hits in game two – Robinson, Weadon and Smith had three hits each with Robinson again driving in five runs.
