GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Shenandoah University volleyball team saw its 2018 season come to an end Saturday with a 3-0 ODAC loss at Guilford College.
Shenandoah (10-16, 4-8 ODAC) needed a victory over the Quakers (16-9, 7-5) to qualify for the ODAC Tournament. With the 27-25, 25-22, 25-14 loss, SU finishes in a tie for eighth place in the league with Randolph and misses out on the league tournament based on the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Shenandoah led the opening set 24-16 but could only watch as GC scored eight straight points to knot the contest at 24-24.
After an Emily Cheatwood kill gave the Hornets a 25-24 lead, Guilford stole the set with two kills and an SU attack error.
There were five ties and two lead changes in the second set before Guilford led nearly wire-to-wire in the third.
