Gulls Soar Past Women's Soccer

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's soccer team fell 3-0 visiting Salisbury University Saturday afternoon in non-league action.

The Hornets (2-4) had good scoring opportunities in the 16th and 63rd minutes but the Sea Gulls (2-4) were able to come up with big saves - successfully thwarting an SU breakaway and then an Emily Yergin penalty kick.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Salisbury

45′ | Ryan Wright scored on a free kick from 35 yards out. Keeper Anna Jacobson was able to get a glove on the ball but Wright's strong shot was unable to be redirected.

53′ | Dakota Campbell's shot when over Jacobson's head and bounced into the far post.

57′ | Juliana Looney delivered a pass to Alyssa Chesney who shot rolled in the near post.
