ASHLAND, Va. – No. 18 Randolph-Macon played nearly a perfect first half on its way to a 117-60 ODAC men's basketball victory over Shenandoah University Wednesday night.
Macon (14-2, 6-1 ODAC) shot 67 percent from the field, 63 percent from behind the arc and did not commit a turnover in jumping out to a 68-25 halftime lead over the Hornets (4-10, 0-6).
Shenandoah had its best stretch of the game to start the second half as SU held the Yellow Jackets scoreless for the initial 4:15 of the stanza while scoring 12 points during that same span.

R-MC rained 3-point shots all night long, making 17 of its 31 attempts from long distance to keep the Hornets at bay.
Macon, which shot 65 percent (46-of-71) from the field, also enjoyed a 48-30 advantage on the glass and scored 52 of the game's 80 points in the paint.
Shenandoah played its host even for the initial 14 minutes of the second half before the 'Jackets reeled off a 20-2 run from the 5:58 to 1:19 marks to increase their lead to a game-high 60 points.
Antwan Jarrett made one of the Hornets three 3-pointers on the evening to provide the final margin.
Christopher Chaney had 14 points, Alan Dabney 10 and Jarrett eight for SU.
Corey Bays paced six R-MC players in double figures with 24 points.
