WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University volleyball team completed its 2019 season with a 3-0 loss to Guilford College Saturday afternoon at the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center.

The Quakers (18-7, 9-3 ODAC) nipped the Hornets (8-19, 2-9) in three close sets, winning 26-24, 25-22 and 25-21.

Guilford hit .207 (38-14—116) to .099 for SU (36-24—121) and hit a match-best .440 (12-1—25) in the second.

The match featured 15 ties and five lead changes with 10 ties and three lead changes coming in the opening set.

SU fought off a 24-21 deficit in the first to tie the match at 24-24 before the Quakers won it with a kill and a Hornets ball-handling error.
