LYNCHBURG, Va. - The No. 2 Shenandoah University field hockey team fell to No. 1 Lynchburg 2-0 in the ODAC Championships Saturday evening.
No. 18 Lynchburg (18-3) scored in both the second and fourth quarters to defeat Shenandoah (15-4) in the championship matchup for the second straight year.

Second Quarter
LYN 17:27 | Brittany Claybaugh sent a ball in and Maggie Chiappazzi deflected the ball past the Shenandoah defense.
Fourth Quarter
LYN 51:31 | Jackie Lerro picked up a loose ball in front of the net for an insurance goal.

ALL-TOURNAMENT
Senior Taylor Hayes was named to the ODAC All-Tournament team after tallying Shenandoah's two goals in the semi-final match.
Sophomores Colleen Schneider and Kelsey Jones also picked up All-Tournament accolades. Jones dished out two assists and Schneider was a main-stay in the defensive end.

Saturday's loss ends Shenandoah's regular season. The squad will now wait on a possible bid to the ECAC Tournament. Those bids will be announced Monday.
