WINCHESTER, Va. – The No. 20 Lynchburg men's lacrosse team kept their ODAC record perfect Saturday in a 24-5 win over Shenandoah.
Lynchburg (6-4, 3-0 ODAC) scored the first eight goals of the game in a lead it would not relinquish to defeat Shenandoah (6-4, 2-2 ODAC).
IN BRIEF
SU was able to put a goal up on the board when freshman Jet Hayes found classmate Jay Baker to fire a shot past Lynchburg goalie, Patrick Cornelius, in the middle of the second quarter.
LYN held a 13-1 advantage going into halftime.
Senior Michael Brooks found Hayes in the third for the second SU goal. Ryan Schott added a tally with 1:21 remaining in the third.
Shenandoah and Lynchburg split the final four goals with Chris Baker scoring both. His goal off of a Brooks assists was an EMO tally.
