HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team fell to Hampden-Sydney College 15-8 in an ODAC contest Wednesday afternoon.
Hampden-Sydney (10-3, 5-1 ODAC) came out of the gate strong, scoring the initial three goals of the game before Chris Baker tallied an unassisted goal for Shenandoah (7-6, 3-4) at the 10:22 mark in the opening quarter.
H-SC would outscore the Hornets 9-2 in the first and not relinquish the lead.
IN BRIEF
Devon Weaver added an unassisted goal after Baker in the first to break up a four-goal run.
Michael Brooks found Ryan Schott on an early man-up situation and would hold the Tigers to just two goals in the second.
H-SC owned a 11-3 lead going into halftime.
Orlando Levins found Devon Weaver to open up the third. The Hornets would score four straight in the final stanza with Kyle Morien scoring a man-up goal from Brock DiMauro. Michael Brooks added two from Schott and Jet Hayes, respectively. Schott would score the final goal for SU.
