BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's lacrosse team reached the double-digit win mark for the seventh time in head coach Lindsey Lutz' 11 seasons at the helm of the program with a 16-5 ODAC win at Bridgewater Wednesday evening.
Shenandoah (10-3, 5-0 ODAC) reeled off a six-goal run midway through the first half to pull away from the Eagles (3-10, 2-3).
IN BRIEF
Trailing 2-1 after BC scored a pair of goals in the initial 5:07 of the contest, Shenandoah scored six goals in a span of 13:45 to take a 7-2 lead with 8:25 to play in the first.
Nikki Zerna started the run with a free position goal while Jordyn Miller set up Anna Baxter at the 8:25 mark to close it out.
The Hornets would score four of the final seven goals of the half to take a 10-5 lead into the break.
Bridgewater's final goal of the half, at 2:33, would prove to be its final goal of the contest.
Six different women scored Shenandoah's six second half goals.
