Baseball Trounces Devils

CARLISLE, Pa. – Visiting Shenandoah University had an explosive start in a 16-3 non-league baseball victory over Dickinson Wednesday afternoon.

Shenandoah (16-9) scored 13 runs in the first three innings, capped off by a seven-run third, to down the Red Devils (18-7).

IN BRIEF

The Hornets would get all of the offense they would need in the first inning by scoring five runs on four hits and two Dickinson errors. Luke Nussman, Keegan Woolford, Pearce Bucher and Grant Thompson all had RBIs in the frame.

A Nussman groundout added to the lead in the second before SU put up the seven-spot in the third.

Jamie Naill started off the rally with an RBI single down the left field line with Tristan Baker driving in Naill and Matt Moon.

Nussman followed with a two-run double and Woolford completed the rally with a two-run home run to right. The dinger is Woolford's fourth of the season and second in as many days.
