SALEM, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team fell 16-7 at Roanoke in ODAC action Wednesday evening.
Roanoke (10-6, 6-3 ODAC) jumped out to an early lead after scoring the initial five goals of the contest before Orlando Levins was able to get on the board for Shenandoah (7-8, 3-6) .
IN BRIEF
Levins put the Hornets on the board with an unassisted goal with 3:06 left in the opening quarter.
Devon Weaver scored twice the second, the first on a Logan Clingerman assist and the second unassisted.
Ryan Schott added an unassisted goal two minutes later.
The Maroons owned an 11-4 lead at halftime.
The Hornets were able to match Roanoke's scoring efforts in the third with a total of three goals from freshman Jet Hayes and classmate Chris Baker with the latter scoring twice. SU was held off the board in the final stanza.
