Women's Tennis Falls in Finale

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's tennis team completed its season Sunday with an 8-1 ODAC loss to Ferrum College.

Ferrum (9-10, 4-8 ODAC) took a 2-1 lead after doubles and then swept the singles versus Shenandoah (4-11, 2-9).

IN BRIEF

Megan Hillyard and Emma Crue earned the Hornets lone win, taking out Alexandria Dixon and Jordan Thompson 8-5 at No. 2 doubles.

Crue had the closest singles match, falling 7-5, 3-6, 2-6 at No. 3.

UP NEXT

This is the squad's final match of the season. The 2019-20 schedule will be released this summer.
