WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team won its second match of the spring with a 9-0 non-league victory over Hood College Wednesday afternoon.
Shenandoah (2-6) had a 2-0 lead at the start of the match as Hood (0-4) defaulted at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
IN BRIEF
The Hornets needed just three wins to clinch, and got them with victories at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles and No. 3 singles. Kyler Apgar had the match-clinching win, taking out Dom Spinuzza 6-2, 6-1 in that No. 3 singles match.
Brenton Baugh did not drop a game all day as he combined with Apgar to win 8-0 at No. 2 doubles and then won at love over Simon El Rayah at No. 4 singles.

The Hornets return to ODAC play on Saturday for an 11 a.m. match at Emory and Henry.
