WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's soccer team fell to Stevenson University 3-1 in a non-league match Saturday afternoon.
The Mustangs (3-0-1) put up two goals in the first half and did not relinquish their lead despite the Hornets (2-2) best efforts in the second.
HOW IT HAPPENED
STE 12:26 | Jay Smith's shot hit the crossbar bouncing right to the feet of DR Medtart to put the Mustangs on the board first.
STE 22:12 | Tariq Lee beat a defender and broke away from Shenandoah in the midfield and controlled the ball an 1-on-1 down the left side of the field for 40 yards. His shot to the opposite corner put the Mustangs on top 2-0.
SU 51:06 | Pedro Flor sent a through-ball to Trace Becker who was at the top of the box, a solid shot to the left side of the goal found it's way past the Stevenson keeper.
STE 72:56 | Tariq Lee received a pass from Dale Boring right on-top of Sam Fisher for his second goal of the game.
