WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University baseball team completed another outstanding week with a 10-1 non-league victory over Susquehanna University Sunday afternoon.

Shenandoah (6-0) won for the fourth time this weekend on the strength of a strong middle third versus the River Hawks (0-2).

The Hornets scored one run in the third, six in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the sixth to jump out to a 10-1 lead.

After scoring two more in the seventh, Susquehanna had a four-run eighth to provide the final margin.
Â
Freshman
Jacob Faivre (1-0) tossed the fifth and sixth to earn his first collegiate victory. Faivre allowed one run on one hit and struck out one to earn the win in relief of sophomore
Carson Kulina.

Kulina scattered three hits and walked four against three strikeouts in pitching the first four innings.

Reilly Owen and
Aaron Torres finished up with Owen throwing the seventh and eighth and Torres the ninth.
Â
Shenandoah had 15 hits in the contest with
Grant Thompson finishing 4-for-5 with three RBI.

Keegan Woolford and
Pearce Bucher both had two hits each with Woolford driving in three runs and Bucher two.
Â
Woolford hit another home run, his fourth of the year, and now stands just two home runs away from tying for the all-time lead at SU.

His three RBI today moved him to sixth place all-time in that category. He passed Keever Davis '99 and is now 28 RBI from Geoff Williams '00 for fifth.

Anthony Ward was also 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI and a run scored.
