Hornets Win, 5-0

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Shenandoah University earned its fourth straight women's soccer victory with a 5-0 ODAC win at Eastern Mennonite Wednesday evening.

ODAC-leading Shenandoah (9-5-1, 5-0-1 ODAC) also ran its shutout streak to 524 minutes with the blanking of EMU (3-7-1, 1-4-1).

IN BRIEF
Graduate student Abbie Marquette gave the Hornets all of the offense they would need by knocking home a Saige Musser corner kick at 6:41.

Shenandoah scored again three minutes later, this time Chandler Gallant from Madison Hieber, before Heiber tallied her fourth goal of the season off of an Elizabeth McGee feed at 13:15.

Heiber ripped a 20-yard shot into the upper right-hand corner to make it 3-0 heading into halftime.

In the second Kaitlynn Davie scored in the 55th minute and McGee in the 62nd.

For McGee, the current ODAC Player of the Week, it was her team-leading seventh goal of the year.

Shenandoah outshot the Royals, 24-2, and took nine of the game's 10 corner kicks.

Kasie Kilmer did not have to make a save in recording her second shutout this fall.
